Strategic Financial Leadership Consultation The Strategic Financial Leadership Consultation is aimed at financial leaders who hold the strategic responsibility for setting direction and leading the financial agenda for their organisation.
Aims
The Consultation will bring together financial leaders from every sector of society who have similar responsibilities for driving forward their financial agenda. It will challenge them to consider the fundamental strategic issues of financial leadership facing their own organisation, as well as themselves. The Trust recognises that there are few opportunities for leaders in this field to come together and learn from one another by discussing such challenges in an open, yet confidential environment. They rarely take time to invest in their own personal development, especially with financial leaders from outside of their own sector.
The objectives of the event are to provide:- Opportunities to debate the key issues facing financial leaders from a range of different perspectives e.g. the challenges of rebuilding trust in leadership
- New insights into the different approaches leaders are taking in different contexts
- Exploration of different strategies and practices of leading the financial agenda through sharing and learning from one another
- A strong network of peers with whom to discuss challenges that arise in the future
- Time to reflect on individual leadership experiences.
Consultation format
During the two days participants have the opportunity to take a step back, to reflect on their personal experiences, and to learn from others. The format is built around discussion and debate with two keynote speakers, time in syndicate groups discussing the issues (each with a skilled facilitator), sharing experiences and personal insights through tried analysis, and time for networking and reflection.
This programme takes place in June every year and is by invitation only however, if you are interested and would like further details, please contact Sarah Pummell or phone 01753 272055.
